Abstract

Thermogravimetric analysis for determination of temperature influence on the materials weight changes is proposed. Thermogravimetry allows to acquire quantitative information on the composition and thermal stability of many different types of materials. The method is fast and can even be used for small-sized samples

Description of the technology

Thermogravimetry is a technique that measures the change in weight of a sample as it is heated, cooled or held at constant temperature. The technique allows to characterize materials with regard to their composition. Determination of thermogravimetric properties of materials is proposed from room temperature to 1000oC temperature, both in an inert and oxidative environments by using TGA 1 thermogravimetric analyzer (Mettler/Toledo).

Applications Characterization of thermal stability of materials, determination of quantitative content of volatiles, determination of inorganics/ash content, proportionality analysis of composition of multicomponent materials.
Advantages

We offer to perform testing in the RTU Polymer Materials Testing Laboratory, which is accredited according to LVS EN ISO/IEC 17025, hereby confirming ability of the laboratory to produce precise and accurate test data.
