Title Dynamic Building Energy Simulation
Abstract

Modern residential and industrial buildings have increasingly sophisticated engineering solutions that makes difficult to predict the energy needed to operate the building. Simple calculation techniques can no longer accurately determine the energy consumption of such buildings, so other calculation methods are needed. The dynamic simulation of buildings is mathematical models that simulate the interaction of the building, their systems, the external and internal environment, and allows to determine the heat load, energy consumption and many other indicators.

Description of the technology

We offer the creation of a model that accurately simulates the ongoing process in the investigated building. Dynamic simulation of buildings takes into account weather, building design, internal temperature changes, human activity and energy consumption effects, heating, ventilation and cooling system parameters, operating schedules and management. Dynamic simulation of buildings allows predicting energy flows, their impact on comfort parameters and energy efficiency requirements.

Applications Dynamic simulation models of buildings can be used for both newly designed and existing buildings, in order to improve energy efficiency of buildings, to suggest operating modes for heating, ventilation and cooling systems.
Advantages

The results of the dynamic building energy simulation allow building owners and managers to reduce energy losses and operating costs, and to improve the comfort of buildings. Architects can offer developers and future building owners a more environmentally friendly design with lower operating costs and greater comfort.
