Title Testing of the Colour Fastness to Dry and Wet Rubbing

Good stability of colour is an important characteristic of textile materials which appear dyed materials during use. It depends on the choice of colouring class and technological processes appropriate to the type of textile materials. Dyed materials can behave differently in different environments; there may be good colour resilience in drought, but not persistent during washing or otherwise. During operation, the majority of textile materials are subject to friction, so it is important to determine their colour resistance to dry and wet friction.

Description of the technology

The testing of rubbing fastness, according to standard LVS EN ISO 105- X12: 2016 with tester Crockmeter 238 A of SDLA (Shirley Development Laboratories Atlas Inc. USA) is carry out. The highest rubbing fastness of materials represents value 5.

Applications It is possible to determine the rubbing fastness of colour textile (woven, non-woven, knitted, leather, polymers and similar materials).

The test of rubbing fastness and consulting services increases the quality of the products and the efficiency of the business, increasing its competitiveness. Correct choice of textile materials allows costs to be reduced, productivity increased and risks minimized. The choice of high-quality textiles improves the comfort and satisfaction of the customer.
