Title Determination of Stress-Strain Characteristics in Tension
Abstract

There is proposed determination of stress-strain parameters in tension (int. al. modulus of elasticity, stress and strain at yield, stress and strain at break) for polymer materials and composites (int.al., nanocomposites) according to testing technology of the universal testing machine as well as appropriate international standards:

  • EN ISO 527-1, Plastics. Determination of tensile properties. Part 1: General principles;
  • EN ISO 527-2, Plastics. Determination of tensile properties. Part 2: Test conditions for moulding and extrusion plastics;
  • EN ISO 527-3, Plastics. Determination of tensile properties. Part3: Test conditiond for films and sheets;
  • EN ISO 527-4, Plastics. Determination of tensile properties. Part 4: Test conditions for isotropic and orthotropic fibre-reinforced plastic composites.

Description of the technology

We offer determination of stress-strain parameters in tension (int. al. modulus of elasticity, stress and strain at yield, stress and strain at break) of polymer materials (int.al., nanocomposites) at following conditions: load cells - 5 kN, 20 kN, 25 kN, 100kN;  testing speed - from 0,001 to 500 mm/min.; testing temperatures - from -70oC to 300oC; cyclic loading option.

Applications Determination of stress-strain parameters in tension could be applied for development of novel polymers, textile materials and composites as well as for quality control of commercially available materials and products thereof (int.al., injection and compression moulded plastics, extruded pipes, films and sheets).

Laboratory of Polymer Testing is accredited to LVS EN ISO/IEC 17025 international standard that confirms ability of the laboratory to produce precise and accurate test data.
