Abstract

There is proposed determination of Charpy impact strength for polymer materials and composites (int.al., nanocomposites) according to testing technology of the impact strength testing machine as well as appropriate international standards:

  • LVS EN ISO 179-1 “Plastics - Determination of Charpy impact properties - Part 1: Non-instrumented impact test”;
  • LVS EN ISO 179-2 “Plastics - Determination of Charpy impact properties - Part 2: Instrumented impact test”

Description of the technology

We offer determination of Charpy impact strength at various temperatures for unnotched and notched test specimens.

Applications Determination of Charpy impact strength could be applied for development of novel polymers and composites as well as for quality control of commercially available materials and products thereof.

Laboratory of Polymer Testing is accredited to LVS EN ISO/IEC 17025 international standard that confirms ability of the laboratory to produce precise and accurate test data.
