The invention object relates to high-voltage electrical networks and power plants, in particular to the methods of controlling out-of-step conditions of asynchronous generator. The out-of-step control method is based on the equal area criterion and is particularly is suitable for the case when the pre-fault configuration of the electrical network is restored as a result of successful transmission line auto-reclosing. In the implementation of the proposed method, the theoretically possible generator's rotor deceleration energy is taken into account, which may appear due to the restoration of the electrical network configuration.
