In this article calculations have been made for free fall lifeboat launching. Simplified differential equations have been made for each period, between the moment of release of the lifeboat and when it comes to rest in the water. The lifeboat is launched with the engine stopped. The LBF490C lifeboat details have been used in these calculations. The differential equations have been mathematically integrated. The maximum distance from the launching device and the time of the free fall were obtained. The maximum deceleration related to the launching height was also obtained.
