Wavelength Convertion in All-Optical Wavelength Division Multiplexing Systems
52. RTU Studentu zinātniskās un tehniskās konferences materiāli 2011
Oskars Ozoliņš, Tatjana Dunce

The paper examines possible technical solutions of all-optical converters for wavelength division multiplexing systems. Two wavelength convertion methods, XGM (Cross Gain Modulation) and XPM (Cross Phase Modulation), are investigated experimentally at students’ laboratory of Photonics institute of Technical university of Denmark and verified in simulation program OptSim. The efficiency of wavelength conversion by both methods is evaluated based on experimental results.
