Investigation of 3D Surface Roughness Characteristic's Accuracy
Proceedings of the 11th EUSPEN International Conference 2011
Māris Kumermanis, Jānis Rudzītis, Anita Avišāne

The existing surface roughness standards comprise only two dimensions but the real surface roughness is three-dimensional (3D). The 3D surface roughness parameters are also necessary for analyzing the mechanics of contact surfaces. The problems of mechanics of contact surfaces are related to accuracy of 3D surface roughness characteristic.
