Historian of Architecture and Sculptor Konstantin Ronczewski (1875-1935)

Konstantin Rončevskis (1875-1935), prominent sculptor and architectural historian, left deep traces in Latvian art and science of architecture. His life and workwas connected the Riga Polytechnic Institute of Architecture Chapter (1899-1905, 1913-1918), the Latvian University Faculty of Architecture (1921-1935), and the Latvian Academy of Art (1921-1935). Architectural history given their RPI Professor Johann Koch. His teachers of sculpture were French sculptors Jean-Antoine Injalbert and Jean- Auguste Dampt. Deeply affected him the time, the sculptors Auguste Rodin and Paolo Trubeckojs. K.Rončevskis reproduced remarkable Latvian culture, art and portraits of public figures. He works of art kept in the Latvian National Art Museum, the Latvian University and the Latvian Academy of Art.
