Computer Use in the Electrical Power Network Calculations
2008
Jānis Gerhards, Anatolijs Mahņitko, Jānis Bažbauers

The textbook includes informative material for the students of the first level higher professional study (college) program to obtain practical skills of the computer use in performing analysis of the power networks and calculating the predicted energy consumption. The book considers the basic equations of the steady state conditions of electric power networks and some of their calculation methods by computer. The main concepts about matrixes and how to work with them in the MS Excel environment are described. The peculiarities of operating with complex numbers and their functions are illustrated. The book is envisaged for the college students who study the course „Computer Use in the Electric Power Networks”. It can be used by the students of other. programs who use the electronic tables in performing calculations in the academic or scientific work.
