Three groups of organic molecular glassy films (stilbene group, styryle group, indandione group) have been experimentally studied as materials for holographic information recording.Holographic grating and absorption spectroscopy methods, as well as atomic force microscopy method were used.Stilbene azobenzene films of type 8a were the best exhibiting self-diffraction efficiency of scalar gratings up to 45%, of vestor s-p gratings of 25% and efficient surface=relief grating recording.
