Production specifics of the expanded and simple carved log boats are described and the differences are analysed in this article. The production process of the log boats from the logs till the ready-made product is described and analyzed in detail. The attention is paid to the efficient technologies of the manual labour and getting the useful cut-offs. It is not rational to produce these products with the use of CNC machines due to the small volume. That is why the efficient technologies of manual labour are to be used to allow getting the useful cut-offs which can be used as the raw materials for other wooden products. In order to make a log boat as speedily and effectively as possible you must follow the sequential use of instruments and technological process. The article demonstrates the use of consecutive ordinary hand tools, electrical and other hand tools of developed technologies and cutting cards. The article focuses on interaction use of well-known and modern hand tools. Graphic photos illustrating the technological processes are provided in the article. Three maps of the boat production and the chart of instruments used depending on the quantity of the branches in the log are included in the article as well.
