Was Deputy Director for Science and the founder of Organic Catalysis Research in Latvia. Throughout his life was devoted to pharmacology and the Polish community in Latvia. From 1978 to 1994 was chairman of the Mary Shimanska Latvian pharmaceutical company, one of the founding chairman and the Union of Poles in Latvia.
