The paper presents the main goals and
achievements of SmartGrids ERA-NET project
named “Efficient identification of opportunities for
Distributed Generation based on Smart Grid
Technology (SmartGen)” during the first stage of
project realization. Brief description of Smart Grid
Technology models’ developed within the
framework of the Project is given. Further
challenges and significance of developed models in
the field of smart grids is discussed.
