Goodput Analysis in Short Range Vehicle Network depends on Auto Traffic Parameters

Short Range Communication is one of the wireless networking technologies to provide Internet connectivity to users in moving vehicles. To obtain Internet access users in-motion can connect to wireless access points near the roadside. In order to understand the basic performance of the Short Range Vehicle Network, in this paper is presented goodput analysis of wireless local area network (WLAN) based on 802.11g standard in a vehicular environment. To evaluate Short Range Vehicle Network in large scale scenarios is difficult and costly, in this paper is offered an analytical model to merge behavior of vehicular traffic together with vehicle’s data communication in a proper way using Markov birth-death system.
