The paper describes monitoring systems, which are object, procedure or method body, what monitors how environmental climate factors affect transmission line. The article analyses the operation and exploitation technique of these systems as well as the common features- advantages and disadvantages. There is a conclusion that overhead line monitoring systems optimize whole transmission grid operation.
