The study considers the methods of assessing Latvian enterprises solvency. The research covers models of solvency forecasting as an instrument of enterprises risk management. The object of the research refers to small and medium sized enterprises of non-financial sphere of economy. The article introduces a review of the researches on the existing methods of enterprises insolvency assessment and development of new models conducted in Latvia. The possibility of using Kralicek Quick test related to the class as index risk models has been investigated.
