The use of internet as an information source is becoming more and more popular nowadays. To find necessary information users apply search engines, but, unfortunately, the amount of information in the internet is so huge that the search by keywords does not give expected results anymore. It caused the appearance of concept “knowledge search” that means the search for specific, precise-formulated information, which is enough to create knowledge in person’s mind. Today there are 2 basic types of systems for knowledge search in the internet: knowledge search engines and Question & Answer Websites. These systems allow a user to formulate a query more precise than usual search engines, as well they return a textual answer to query, but not the list of links to sources that contain words from the user’s query. The systems for knowledge search can be used not only in daily life and at work, bet also in e-learning process. Mastering some course, students often come across the knowledge search problem, e.g. performing independent works. The use of the specific systems for knowledge search, i.e. developed specially for e-learning, will help to solve this problem, thereby improving students’ progress in studies.
