Clay is the main raw material of production of ceramic
materials and its products as well as one of the main
sedimentary rocks in the area of Latvia and may be
successfully used as the raw material to make the alternative
heat insulation material to the current materials in the market –
heat insulation materials of porous ceramics, which are made
of the local raw materials, using clay as a binding agent, but
the remains of woodworking, straws or hemp/ flax shoves – as
filling material thus obtaining the material with the required
thermal and noise insulation properties.
