This paper describes a proposed concept of lighting failure identification system consisted of basic elements (radio transceivers or nodes), which retransmits received pulsed radio signal with additional pulse, which can be interpreted as an encoded distance value recognized in its turn at some reference points of the node’s network with the known location. Afterwards corresponding analysing software can identify the location of the fault node. The proposed system is experimentally tested in small scale of 1D occasion (corridor).
