The paper deals with the interaction of tourism demand and economic development in sectoral level. Travel export is chosen as the most appropriate indicator of tourism demand. Correlation analysis is used to group industries in those, which are strongly correlated to tourism, those, which are strongly correlated to tourism till 2008 and those, which are weakly correlated to tourism. Travel export can be used for short-term estimates of the real value added for industries, which are strongly correlated to travel export
