Synthetic Pathway for Carbohydrate-Based Spiro-Oxazolidinone Derivatives

Carbohydrate-heterocycle conjugates with spirocyclic junction have raised a particular interest in the last two decades. We report here a scalable synthesis of two diastereoisomeric series of oxazolidinone-carbohydrate conjugates with spiro-junction and preliminary studies of their use in the diastereoselective alkylation at alpha position.
