The paper presents experimental study of electronically commutated outer-rotor brushless synchronous motor at stalled rotor. Experimentally obtained torque-angle characteristics of outer-rotor permanent-magnet synchronous motor are analyzed and compared to the results calculated by motor two-dimensional magnetostatic field simulation using computer software based on finite element method. Comparison results demonstrate an acceptable correlation.
