N-Acyl-oxazolidinones and enantiomerically pure β-amino alcohol derivatives play an increasingly important role as chiral auxiliaries in organic synthesis. Furthermore, only few examples involve diacetone-D-glucose-based amino alcohols as chiral auxiliaries and catalysts.
