Changes in Use of Tobacco Products According to the World Health Organization Convention on Tabacco Control in Latvia

Use of tobacco products is a global problem with serious consequences for public health, which calls for the widest possible international cooperation for coordinated action to limit the spread of tobacco and its trafficking. There should be a single tobacco demand reduction strategy. Changes in legislation concerning tobacco control in Latvia meets the requirement of the WNO Convention; however, evaluation and improvement of tobacco control effectiveness are necessary.
