Abstract | By using industrial by-products and lead-silicate waste glass as secondary raw materials together with natural raw materials (kaolinite clay) and alkaline solution (water glass with NaOH) the new type of porous material for biotechnologic processes without the need for additional equipment or alkaline was developed. This controlled-release system contains a ceramics matrix in which NaOH crystals are encased. In this study ability to release NaOH per time according to material composition and structure were investigated. |
