At the moment there has been no any serious scientific study of factors of factors affecting the development of the real estate market in Latvia. The authors conducted a comprehensive study of the views of individuals and entities, using questionnaires. The purpose of this study is to identify the significant social and economic factors affecting the development of the real estate market in Latvia. The article discusses the major findings of private persons’ survey results.
