To achieve a reduction in electricity consumption, it
is vital to have actual information about household electricity use.
The load scheduling potential and household energy efficiency
performance until 2020 were evaluated in this study based on
data from of a four-person family. The derived results show that,
due to the washing machine and dishwasher load shifting, the
peak load of a dwelling can be reduced on average by 24% and
13,5%, respectively. 1219 kWh savings can be achieved until
2020 through improvements in the energy performance of some
more intensively used appliances.
