Nitroolefins as Starting Materials for 5-Membered N-Heterocycles
Chemistry of Heterocyclic Compounds 2016
Inese Mieriņa, Māra Jure

Nitroolefins are widely used for the synthesis of valuable cyclic and acyclic compounds. Synthesis of polysubstituted pyrrolidines and 1H-pyrroles, as well as skeleton of spiroindolinpyrrolidin-2-one starting from the title compounds are well known. Herein the recent (2013-2015) examples leading to 5-member nitrogen heterocycles (with exception of those reactions providing the above mentioned structures) are focused.
