Trends in the Power Line Designing: PLS-CADD Software Package Options

Modern power engineering development that focuses on continuous energy supply to all sectors of the economy, based on a powerful, branched grids. One of the key elements of the energy system is the overhead power line. It should be noted that the overhead power line design is a complex and difficult task that the solution must respect and fulfill a number of basic requirements. Thus, for topical becomes an optimization of the overhead power line designing process. In order to most effectively assess the existing problems in the power line designing, it is necessary to use the automatic designing systems, first of all software complex PLS-CADD can be mentioned. The article deals with the PLS-CADD software options separately evaluating the benefits of each stage - power line designing, reconstruction as well as its operation.
