At the present moment the wide selection of filters is defined by variety of filtering and signal processing tasks. This work describes filters approximating ideal amplitude-frequency response (AFR). At the moment, the highest slope of response can be achieved by using elliptical approximation. Alas, for such slope the designer pays with increase of the filter sections Q-factor parameter, and, as of such, calculation complexity and cautious configuration of schematic. By decreasing the Q-factor parameter of sections it is possible to simplify schematics significantly. At the same time, adding zeroes to transfer function allows creation of filters with higher selectivity comparing to Chebishev filters with the same order and higher Q-factor parameter.
