The boron-containing wastes and their use for the manufacture of composite materials

Composite material containing boron fiber is investigated in this paper. Fibers were obtained by milling boron-containing waste materials, such as Al-W-B. The paper discusses the characteristics of waste grinding with the use of the disintegrator to obtain a boron fiber powder with a predetermined particle size. A number of mixture compositions with metal and cement bases is given.The methods of sample manufacturing from different compositions containing boron fiber are discussed. The results of the study of physical and mechanical properties and microstructure of materials are given.
