Power Consumption Measurments of Sub-GHz WDAS for Wearible Application
ARSA - Proceedings in ARSA - Advanced Research in Scientific Areas 2012
Oļegs Artamonovs

the article presents an experimental development of a low power Wireless Data Acquisition System (WDAS). The circuit based on 868 MHz RFM02 transmitter module and Atmega 8 microcontroller. The WDAS intended for body-centric communications, where the main power sources are energy harvesters. The aim is to build system prototype and measure power consumption. Two methods are considered: ammeter method and capacitor discharge method. The article presents WDAS block circuit, program algorithm, measurement methods and results.
