Strength Determination and Prediction of Destructive Processes of Composites
Aviation 2015
Ilmārs Blumbergs, Mārtiņš Kleinhofs

This paper is devoted to important issues of strength determination and prediction of destructive processes of composites so limits of safe use of a product can be predicted and recognized by use of acoustic emission non destructive test method. Model that is presented in this paper enables to describe the predictable strength of composites, but also the character of the destruction by taking into account the fiber stress and/or ultimate strain distribution.
