Line Parameter Estimation based on PMU Application in the Power Grid

            his paper provides the possibility of phasor measurement unit implementation for the estimation of power transmission line parameters in order to solve problems related to transmission line temperature, sag and clearance. The method for determination of transmission line parameters for a selected span is proposed and case study results are estimated. The obtained results allow increasing power throughput. Simulation results are based on real system line parameters.
