Microbiological contamination of drinking water is a widespread problem, which causes regular outbreaks of waterborne diseases worldwide. Legionella is a typical example of a waterborne pathogen, which can cause different forms of legionellosis. The aim of the study was to investigate conditions which are suitable for break out of Legionella contamination in a model of hot water supply system.
