Cationic 1,2-Silyl Shift in Propargyl Silanes

Although the dominant propargyl silane reaction pathway is Hosomi-Sakurai type addition, there are some reports of rearrangement reactions in the intermediate carbenium ions.1 Now we report a novel way of inducing silyl group migration and describe two endgame scenarios for the reactive intermediates.
