The production of particle board furniture is increasing, so there is a high demand for qualitative protection of the edge. The purpose was to explore the quality of three most popular edge technology. As a result, there is determined maximum tension of the sample. The experiment compared the strength of adhesive links formed by different banding technologies and the effect of changes in feed rate on it. Technologies used for edge-gluing: industrial edge wrapping machine with traditional EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl-Acetate) thermoplastic adhesive knot, industrial edge wrapping machine with a modern hot air banding knot and hand edge banding machines. Glued samples made with ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) edge finishing tape. By using 6 methods there were processed 66 samples. The experiment is based on the ASTM D3167 standard principles. It is determined that the feed rate affects the firmness of the edges. The hot air method provides a 27.79% higher adhesive strength.
