In this paper the possibility is evaluated to develop a dual input quasi-resonant DC link inverter utilizing a type of quasi-resonant circuit that provides a lossless zero voltage period. The respective topology is presented and it’s working priciple is explained within one operational cycle. A circuit simulation is performed using the Matlab Simulink environment. Attention is drawn towards the calculation of trip values for control of the resonant circuit. Optimized trip trigger parameter selection has been suggested.
