Latvian sacred art and architecture are part of the European cultural history. Today, church buildings captivate the minds and imagination of people: in the temple of God a person feels differently, not like in the world. During the last 25 years, more than forty new Catholic churches have been erected in Latvia, mainly in small towns, which are interesting from the point of view of architecture, both respecting architectural traditions and relying on new trends. The dynamic nature of the modern Latvian Roman Catholic churches intrigues and attracts with a premonition of revelation, allows us to feel the depth of religious thought.
