Abstract | The paper considers various algorithms of earth fault distance measuring units (EFDMU) and mathematical models underlying the synthesis of these algorithms. The operation of EFPDIO in networks during different configurations was analyzed. It is shown that the efficiency of PDIO significantly increases when using search optimization methods to determine the impedance vector from the place of protection installation to the point of short circuit, when using improved mathematical models for the synthesis of algorithms, as well as when using the tripping characteristics adaptation to the parameters of complex configuration networks. |
