Technical and Economic Simulation of Estimation on Replacement of Power High-Voltage Transformers

The essential aging of transformer eguipment becomes serious problem demanding solution at Latvian Electric Company. The paper the measures for purchases and replacement of high-voltage transformers are considered. The simplified and total model for estimation of measure is offered. The technical and economic model on basis of the total annual discounted costs of power transformer users for calculated period is worked out. The minimum of total costs is a basic criterion of optimum solution. The model simplification lightens and accelerates evaluative estimations. Practical calculations are made for purchases of 110 kV transformer (63 MVA) from firms-suppliers or manufacturing plants.
