Architecture and planning of Mitau, the capital of the Duchy of Courland and Semigallia (Latin: Ducatus Curlandiae et Semigalliae), during the reign of the dukes was constantly improved, and the city acquired new features. Alexander Strekavin, who was born in Mitava and spent his childhood in this city until 1904, followed the changes, Alexander believed that he knew about his city that cannot be found in history textbooks and documents, therefore it should be written and saved.
