The extended heat elements are widely used in heat exchangers, filters, heating devices, as well as the fuel elements with the dispersion fuel. For use as shells, copper, aluminium and magnesium have proven themselves well. In this paper, a comparative analysis of various manufacturing schemes of long tubular and rod elements using the method of magnetic pulse compaction is given. Experimental studies were carried out on metal powders of iron and powder compositions based on it. The expediency of using the step and combined pressing method is shown.
