In reactions of isatoic anhydride with primary amines − 2-(4-aminophenyl)aminomethylene-1,3-indandione, 2-(2- and 4-aminophenyl)aminomethylendimedone, 5-(4’-amino-4-diphenylaminomethylene)-2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxan-4,6-dione, 3-[1-(3-aminophenylamino)ethylidene]-6-methyl-2,4-pyrandione, 6-amino-2-pyridylaminomethylenedimedone, 2-, 3- and 4-aminophenylamino-5,5-dimethyl-2-cyanocyclohex-2-en-1-ones − corresponding N-monosubstituted anthranilic acid amides have been obtained. 3-(3- and 4-anthranoylaminophenylamino)-5,5-dimethyl-2-cyanocyclohex-2-en-1-one, when refluxed in triethoxymethane, gave 3- and 4-[4-(3H)-quinasolinon-3-yl]phenylamino-5,5-dimethyl-2-cyanocyclohex-2-en-1-ones
