In this article the comparative analysis of the methods for calculating the throughput capacity of the station’s neck is presented. Analysis of methods has revealed the main factors affecting the accuracy of the calculation. Besides, not all local conditions are taken into account in the analytical formulas. Nowadays, the issue of improving the calculation of the throughput capacity of the station’s neck, which will take into account the variety of the local conditions at the technical station in each case, is actual. The article proposes to use the calculating method based on the discrete timetable theory.
