The work deals with the methods of increasing the bearing capacity and stiffness characteristics of a single element of a glued wooden beam covering a separate element acting on the bend. Prior to performing a 7.8 m analysis of the selected research object, the main beam of the covering, with any of the stiffness and bearing capacity enhancement techniques, smaller beam analysis with different beam configurations is performed. Straight glued wooden beams and beams with structural elevation are compared, as well as beams reinforced with different materials. In the course of the research it was concluded that the most effective variant of the variants examined is glued wooden beams reinforced with steel reinforcement. The degree of load-bearing capacity for bending a particular research object is 20.7% lower than for a non-welded cross section of the same cross section, and the value of the deflection decreases by 12.6%, the reinforcement area is 0.94% of the total cross-sectional area.
