The digital teaching aid (hereinafter DML) “Construction and technical operation of electrical networks and electrical installations” is intended for vocational education learners and teachers to acquire educational content, Latvian qualifications framework level 3 and 4 professional qualifications “Electrician”, “Electrical equipment installer” , “Electrician”, “Overhead and cable electrician”, “Electrician”, “Factory electrical equipment technician”, “Electrical network technician”, “Electrical installation technician”, “Renewable energy technician”. The DML is based on the content of training courses / modules in the energy sector, in accordance with professional standards and professional qualification requirements, as well as the educational content acquisition mechanism available to all target groups of learners in the context of lifelong learning. The teaching aid provides an opportunity to learn the operation of the electricity system, the structure of electrical networks and the operating principles and peculiarities of the equipment installed in it, the accounting of electrical networks, as well as the observance of organizational and technical measures. The DML covers the following main topics: structure and development trends of electricity systems and networks, construction and organization of electrical equipment and installations, operating principles of transformers and autotransformers, operation of electricity transmission and distribution lines, switching apparatus, protection devices and meters, electricity accounting, command and control duties and responsibilities of equipment and electrical network operation personnel.
