            Earlier we reported the synthesis and photophysical properties of fluorescent 1,2,3-triazole-purine conjugates and 2-azolylpurine derivatives. This work was followed up by a synthesis and an investigation of purine derivatives containing carbazole moiety, later to study their potential use in OLEDs. We have modified purine structures to achieve optimal emission properties.
